With over 50 years of practicing veterinary experience, clinical and research scientist, Jean Dodds, DVM, is considered one of the foremost veterinary experts on thyroid diseases, vaccinosis, nutrition, blood diseases, and autoimmune diseases in companion animals (dogs, cats and horses). Dr. Dodds is an integrative veterinarian, which means she employs both holistic and conventional diagnostics and therapies to aid companion animals. With her colleagues at Hemopet Holistic Care, she provides comprehensive care for her own patients, and can also work together with your veterinarian and you to help with the diagnosis and management of your pet’s condition.

Bloodwork and Medical Records InterpretationDr. Dodds will thoroughly review any laboratory results and clinical history provided to her, and will recommend further testing if she deems it necessary. In concert with your veterinarian, she can help diagnose and advise on the management of your pet’s condition.In regards to a review of thyroid test results, Dr. Dodds will need complete results that include Total T4, Free T4, Total T3 and Free T3, and TgAA for canines, preferably run by a reference laboratory such as Michigan State University’s Diagnostic Center for Population and Animal Health, or a commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory.
